I was chatting a bit with one of the volunteers from the local ride services, and out of the blue she started talking about dog owners who are bad neighbors. By that we mean that they let their dogs out to go do their business in other people's yards.
This may not seem like much of a topic worth a blog post but bear with me just a second.
The kicker was that someone in the neighborhood took a video recording of the dog running around in a yard other than his own. The video helped make effective a citation for letting the dog run loose – which resulted in a $400 fine against the owner of the dog.
I thought noteworthy the fact that a resident made good use of video technology to resolve one of the most aggravating things that ruin good neighbor relationships. There is nothing that creates as much anger and resentment as having some neighborhood dog either run loose or be allowed to do his business without the owner picking up after the pet.
