I kept my hand inside my coat, clutching the package as I walked toward her. She was seated in a chair near the casket bearing her husband at the Goble-Baronick Funeral Home in DuBois Monday afternoon.
Irene Sheldon looked up and said, "You have sugar cookies, don't you?"
I nodded and revealed a package of Archways.
We chuckled. We hugged. We cried.
"Put them with him," Irene said. "He'd like that."
