A few underwater photographs of a polar bear in his pool, just enjoying himself swimming. I shot the photos and assembled them in this video assemblage. There is no audio but you are welcome to hum Blue Danube while it plays. Thank you.

Officially, this is a flawed picture and not something I would ordinarily put on display. But I thought the angles and reflections were interesting.

It's almost like watching ballet, hunh?

Time for a snooze after all that swimming.

The zoo had a special display in front of the polar bear exhibits this particular weekend.
Here one can see the actual size of a polar bear paw and claw, touch the fur and see the black skin that absorbs heat. They are remarkably well-adapted to their arctic environment.
