The very elegant bird-of-paradise flower. Such a bright orange yet the form is so elegant and balanced with purple and greens.

Three white hibiscus. I really like how the light comes through from the back, showing how delicate the petals are.
I can't help but take pictures of flowers. All kinds. These happen to be tropical blooms but I take picture of regular backyard blossoms, too. The bird-of-paradise (orange) flower was taken at the Boerner Botanical gardens (popularly known as the Domes) in Milwaukee WI. The white hibiscus may have been taken in the same place but I am not positive now. The water lilies were photographed at Whitnall Park gardens in suburban Milwaukee, WI.
