Clergy in Ireland are "alarmed" over the level of support for alleged Marian sightings claimed by a self-proclaimed Dublin visionary, the Belfast Telegraph reported.
A local clairvoyant claims the Virgin Mary appeared for a second time in three weeks at Knock Shrine on Saturday. Around 15,000 followers gathered expectantly in the hope of witnessing a vision, with claims that the sun once again "danced in the sky".
The official church seems to think these sightings are just the result of mass hypnosis or something, on the part of the followers of this local clairvoyant. Well, we shall see if these appearances peter out or not, and if there is another one as promised on the Feast of the Immaculate Conception on Dec. 8.
PS -- The events have been picked up by several blogs out in the cyberworld, too.
Oh, for Pete's sake...if the Rapture is coming, couldn't they have done it before Palin's book came out?
Well, actually this isn't about the Rapture or any such prediction. (tho I thought your comment was funny, cuz I think Palin's book is a gas). One blog or website related to the 2012 countdown says that Mary will be making more appearances all over the world before 2012 as a way to wake up more people to the need to evolve to a higher level.
But that's OK if you have other stuff on your 'to-do' list.
A "Feast of the Immaculate Conception" sounds like a rip-roaring good time to me!
Any excuse for a beer bash, hey? Or a bingo event.
