The civil rights group CORE (Congress of Racial Equality) is protesting Robert Redford for trying to block natural gas production in Utah. Redford is trying to get an auction for gas leases cancelled; the leases are in sensitive areas, some near or adjacent to national parks. CORE maintains that this will have a negative impact on low-income people who are already struggling to pay home heating bills this winter.
