
The EU's antitrust people charged that patients had to pay nearly 4 billion dollars too much for medications because the pharmaceutical companies blocked generics from getting to market. The list of offenders includes Pfizer Inc., GlaxoSmithKline and Sanofi-Aventis.
It isn't any surprise really, that Big Pharma would do all it could to muscle generic competition out of the way. But still I am ashamed for the way American business keeps giving the U.S. a bad rep.
