No-return DVD rentals that essentially self-destruct within 48 hours after they are removed from their packaging are now rolling out at airports, travel centers and every Staples store across the country. Each location will offer about 25 new movie releases and, rather than return them, consumers can recycle them for free when they're done watching or just throw them out.
I've heard of the MSM Incinerator, but this is ridiculous.
Actually this is the second attempt to sell us on the idea of disposable DVDs. The first time they met with a lot of resistence from environmentalists, so now they are supposedly easier to recycle. Still, I bet most of them will wind up in the trash -- and the landfill.
Flexplay -- a bad choice.
this is by far the dumbest idea i've every seen. Just another idea THAT WILL FAIL that the stupid recording industry cant seem to get..PHYSICAL MEDIA IS DECLINING AND WILL EVENTUALLY BE REPLACED BY DOWNLOADED MEDIA!!! get in this decade people. Either buy the movie or go to blockbuster. my god. lets kill the planet faster at the same time awesome!!!
