Berlin Vet Takes Faithful Duck as Pet

A Berlin woman who rescued a sick three-day-old duckling has kept the animal as a pet, taking him for walks on a leash, watching television together on the couch and feeding him mozzarella cheese as a treat.

We have been treated in recent weeks to pet turtles that do tricks, pet dogs that are no longer lame, and now a pet duck that walks on a leash. There is no limit to the inter-species brand of love.

Sorry for clipping to Reigning Cats and Dogs, but I figured, it walks (or waddles) on a leash, it 'couch potatoes' out on the sofa...So if it walks on a leash like a dog, flops in front of the TV like a dog, steals cat food like a dog, by golly it must be a dog. Close enough for me.
Ducks can live up to 50 YEARS??? Well, not if she feeds him cheese, I bet.

All species ... all points of view are welcomed at Reigning Cats and Dogs. Besides, who amongst us hasn't been 'leashed' at one time or another during the course of their lives. I say make way for ducklings! :-)

And now a quick riddle for the most brilliant of minds: What is a ducks favorite snack?
